End User Approach
The end user approach is when a the user is the one developing the software that he/she is actually using. They utilise functions inside another program as they have little or no means of programming. Software had to be already been developed to allow the user to complile his program to function the way he/she likes.
Rapid Application Development Approach
This approach is for those who want to create a usable program within the shortest period of time they possibly can. The final product will be small but functional to the extent it is meant to satisfy.
The Prototyping Approach
Prototyping approach is a ongoing connection between the software designer and the user. Users may find the hands on, easier to understand and make adjustments as they use the software. This will give the user an idea of the final product.
The Structured Approach
Structured approach has five(5) main stages in which the piece of software goes through. This is used for large projects that have large teams so that everyone is at the same stage when they progress further down the ladder. Peformance and Reliability are key and vital components in the software, and this ladder of the structured approach provides it if the steps are followed correctly. The product is usually targeted at a large audience and one flaw will mean that the final product will be a disaster as it will not sell much. This is very costly if anything goes wrong.

Engineering of software had many different aspect to it as it needs to improved constantly to satisfy a wide range of age, gender, cultures and even modern medicine. The approach to endlessly update a piece of software would be and is a challenge that all need to face when confronted with this problem. Many approaches can be taken to end up with the perfect outcome, until another flaw is found. Different methods are used to help software engineers to keep their vital piece of code up-to-date as a small error could be lethal over a period of either a short or long time.
